Baloch nationalists step up attacks on Pakistani military on Baloch Martyrs’ Day

There has been a spurt in violence on Saturday in Balochistan's Hoshab area  where three akistani Army soldiers were killed in a firefight with fighters, on a day that Baloch nationalists observe as Martyrs' day and hold protests across the world.</p>

The Pakistani soldiers were conducting intelligence operations in Turbat, Balochistan, when they came under attack, according to <a href="https://tribune.com.pk/story/2329286/three-soldiers-martyred-in-two-terrorist-attacks-in-balochistan"><em>The Express Tribune</em></a>. A statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces were surrounded after which an engagement took place. "During the engagement, two soldiers, Sepoy Ramzan—resident of Sargodha distric —and Lance Naik Liaqat Iqbal—resident of Swabi district—sacrificed their lives fighting valiantly".</p>

In another incident, seven people, including a policeman and women, were injured in a blast in Balochistan's capital Quetta. The explosion took place after a motorcycle with IED explosives was blown up targeting security forces.<br />

The Pakistani security forces are being targeted through various attacks in Balochistan as the Baloch people want a separate country. The Baloch have also stepped up protests in Sindh and Balochistan to force the Pakistani establishment to release their kidnapped youth.<br />

On Saturday, <a href="https://thebalochistanpost.net/2021/11/13-november-the-baloch-martyrs-day/">Baloch organisations commemorated</a> November 13 as the Baloch Martyrs Day. Baloch activists ran a social media campaign to commemorate the day. They held demonstrations in the Gulf, Germany, and other Asian countries. Balch revolutionary singers Meer Ahmed Baloch, Meeral Baloch and Sawal Qandeel sang songs to remember the martyrs.</p>

<a href="https://thebalochistanpost.net/2021/11/protest-held-in-karachi-against-disappearance-of-baloch-students/">The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons held a protest</a> in front of the Karachi Press Club on Friday against the disappearance of Baloch students. Students, social activists, families of the missing persons and the common people pressed upon the Pakistani government to release the missing Baloch students, according to <a href="https://thebalochistanpost.net/2021/11/protest-held-in-karachi-against-disappearance-of-baloch-students/"><em>The Balochistan Post</em></a>.<br />

Protestors carried photographs of the missing person and had placards with messages like: '<em>End enforced disappearances now</em>', '<em>Enforced disappearances are a heinous crime</em>' and '<em>Those who should be in colleges and universities are in prisons</em>”.<br />
<br />
The protestors say that Balochistan has witnessed a wave of abductions of students. Besides the enforced disappearances, bodies of young Baloch people are regularly found across the province.</p>
