Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) is an Indian multi-role attack helicopter. It is designed and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and used by the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army. The impetus for the development of the LCH came in the form of the Kargil War in 1999. It revealed the requirement for an attack helicopter that would be suitable for high-altitude climates.
