Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his first state visit to the United States. On Wednesday US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden extended a warm welcome to PM Modi on his arrival at the White House. The leaders exchanged various gifts during the dinner. Prime Minister carried a range of gifts for Joe and Jill Biden. PM Modi gifted the US President a sandalwood box meant to “symbolise” the rituals mentioned in the ancient Indian text Krishna Yajurveda’s ‘Vaikhanas Grihya Sutram’. The box contained ten items including an idol of Ganesha and a diya.
