WATCH: Alert Railway cop saves youth from being crushed under train at Chennai Central station

<p>
An alert constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) acted in the nick of time to save the life of 22-year-old youth who fell while trying to board a moving train at Chennai Central station on Friday.</p>

CCTV footage shows the youth, who is carrying two heavy bags, trying to board the running train as he appears to have been late in reaching the platform.  He manages to get hold of the train’s door handle, but then loses his balance because of the heavy bags and falls between the train and platform.</p>
<p>
RPF constable Ram Kishan Meena who was in the vicinity then sprints to rescue the youth and pulls him away from the running train.</p>
<p>
The youth has been identified as Poovarasan from Vilankurichi in Coimbatore was trying to board the morning train to go home.</p>
<p>
CCTV footage of the incident has been shared by the Chennai Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway.</p>
