Pet dog’s attack leads to death of Swiggy delivery man in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills

A Swiggy delivery man succumbed to injuries in hospital after he fell from the first floor of a building while trying to escape an attack by a pet dog in the posh Banjara Hills locality of Hyderabad, the city police said on Monday.

The delivery agent, Rizwan, had gone to the house to deliver a food packet ordered online.

“It has been four days since the incident took place. The delivery boy named Rizwan died at the hospital while getting treatment. We have registered a case under IPC Section 304(A) against Shobana, who is the dog’s owner,” Banjara Hills Inspector of Police, Narender told ANI.

Rizwan brother confirmed that he had fallen off the first fell in his bid to escape the ferocious pet dog when he went to deliver the food parcel in the Banjara Hills home.
