The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the active cases, has reduced and currently comprises only 23.24 per cent of the total positive cases.

It has also resulted in a gradual fall in the mortality rate, which at 1.86%, is currently is one of the lowest globally. This has been made possible because of the comprehensive and sustained effectiveness of the government's policy of testing aggressively, tracking comprehensively and treating efficiently.
