Dreaded gangster TilluTajpuriya killed by rival gang in Delhi’s Tihar jail

Dreaded gangster Tillu Tajpuriya was killed in an attack by a rival gang inside Delhi’s Tihar Jail this morning.

Tillu Tajpuriya, alias Sunil Mann, was beaten to death with iron rods by gangster Yogesh Tunda and his henchmen in the national capital’s high-security prison, police officials said.

Tillu was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Another prisoner, Rohit, was also injured in the attack but is reported to be out of danger now.

Yogesh Tunda, Deepak Teetar, Riyaj Khan and Rajesh broke the iron grills of their ward on the first floor of the prison which were used to attack Tillu, who was imprisoned in a ground floor ward.

Tillu was the prime conspirator in the 2021 Rohini Court shootout in which his arch enemy Jitender Gogi was killed.

Two gunmen of the Tillu gang, dressed as lawyers, shot dead gangster Jitender Gogi inside the Rohini court in September, 2021. The duo were killed as policemen in the court complex fired back at them in retaliation.

The shooting was the result of an old rivalry between the Jitender Gogi and Tillu gangs.

Tillu had issued directions on the phone to his gunmen to carry out the shooting, police said.

This is the second gang war killing in Tihar jail within a month.  Prince Tewatia, the right-hand man of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was also killed in Tihar jail by a rival gang last month.
