In a surprise cabinet shuffle on Thursday, Kiren Rijiju has been replaced as Union Law Minister with Arjun Ram Meghwal getting charge of the ministry.
Rijiju has been assigned charge of the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
Meghwal, who is a Minister of State, gets Independent Charge of the Law Ministry.
The change was announced in a statement from the President’s House.
