As the Covid 19 numbers have remained under control for weeks now, many offices are gradually opening up.

Even expatriates, who had to leave India in the wake of the pandemic are gradually returning.

Not only is the Covid 19 situation in the country under control now, vaccination drive has also picked up steam. India has managed to administer over 77 crore vaccines. About 19 crore Indians are fully vaccinated, data showed.

“We are encouraging employees to return to office, we need to get back to normalcy as soon as possible,” said a senior executive of a Gurugram based private firm.

Business travels have also started. “We expect things to pick up post Diwali, of course this will be subject to the Covid 19 situation,” the executive said.

Meanwhile, according to Asian Community News, in a recent meeting that was held between various representatives of Korean regional associations in Gurugram, the members discussed ways to thwart a possible third wave in India.

“In the meeting, it was informed that about 50 per cent of the India-based Koreans who had left for Korea in a hasty manner after the second wave of Covid-19 hit India in May, have returned to resume their operations in India,” it said.

With massive geopolitical shifts, many foreign companies are already looking to invest in India. The government’s ongoing reform measures are expected to further boost sentiments.
