Delhi’s iconic The Ashok Hotel valued at Rs 7,409 crore

The government has fixed an indicative value of Rs 7,409 crore for the iconic The Ashok hotel spread across a sprawling 25 acres in the heart of Delhi, according to leading news agency PTI.

Investor consultation has already taken place and a Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs note for the monetisation of the The Ashok hotel through public-private partnership (PPP) mode is being prepared, the report said citing sources.

The Ashok is among the eight properties of India Tourism Development Corp included under the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) that was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in August, 2021.

The NMP envisages to raise Rs 6 lakh crore over four years to unlock value in infrastructure assets across the country.
