In the 27th over of England's second innings, Stokes tried to pull a short-pitched delivery from Colin de Grandhomme but ended up playing the ball onto his stumps.

He was walking back to the pavilion and had covered most of the ground when a replay showed that it was a no-ball as the New Zealand bowler had over-stepped the popping crease.

The umpire then recalled Stokes back to the middle as luck came to the rescue of the brilliant batter on his 31st birthday!
