The video shows the extremely rare sight of a snow leopard sprinting down the steep slope of a mountain in Ladakh in hot pursuit of an equally fast- running deer ahead of it. While there are three deer, the big cat targets one of them as its prey and chases it down a anear-vertical slope and then in a final burst of speed makes its kill at the bottom of the gradient on a flat patch near a watering hole.

The snow leopard is then seen carrying its prey away after the successful hunt.
