Team India defeated Ireland by 33 runs in the second T20I against Ireland on Sunday with young batting sensation Rinku Singh being declared Player of the Match in his debut at the crease.
Singh in his typical swashbuckling style smashed three huge sixes and two fours to score 38 off 21 balls.
The team led by pace star Jasprit Bumrah has now gained an unassailable 2-0 lead over Ireland in the three-match series. Choosing to bat first, team India posted a total of 185/5 in 20 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad was the top scorer with 58 runs. Ireland could score only 152 runs for the loss of 8 wickets as team India bowlers kept them under a tight leash.
The third and final T20I of the series will be played on Wednesday at The Village in Dublin.
