Watch: Karnataka’s woman fruit seller, the unsung heroine of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

In an age when most of us are aware of our rights but not our duties, there are exceptions that inspire us to do so. The efforts of one such woman fruit seller have been posted in a video by industrialist Anand Mahindra on his Twitter showing how all of us can keep our area and country clean – Swachh Bharat.

Video:

This anonymous fruit seller near Ankola Bus stand in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district is seen picking up the leaves in the viral video. These leaves are used by her to wrap the fruits and many throw them away and not wanting to litter the area she goes about picking them meticulously and dumping them in the dustbin.

Interestingly, it is not her duty to gather leaves yet she does it on her own!

Impressed by her act, Mahindra is keen to contact her and appreciate her efforts.

This viral video had many users expressing thanks to her for keeping the environment clean in her own way.
