Watch:  Awesome skill helps car driver avert disaster after being hit by a bus in Kerala

The quick thinking and exceptional skills of a car driver averted a major disaster after his vehicle was hit by a bus from behind at the Kazhchaparambu junction on the Palakkad-Thrissur National Highway on Tuesday morning.

The incident captured on the CCTV footage of a nearby hotel has gone viral on social media.

According to a report, in Matrubhumi, the driver of the car, Danst, a businessman of Vadakkanchery, was on his way to Coimbatore when he stopped at a traffic signal at the junction. However, a speeding bus coming from behind could not brake in time and rammed into his car.

The impact of the collision spun the car of control and shoved it into the opposite lane. However, Danst kept his cool and with extraordinary driving skills and some luck was able to steer the car clear of the oncoming traffic and reach the side of the road safely.

Had he panicked, it would have led to a major accident involving several vehicles in a highway pile-up.
