“The animal spotted in the video is the radio collared leopard C33 Delta. A team of researchers is continuously monitoring its activity and there is nothing to panic as the leopard is avoiding humans,” G Mallikarjun, the field director of SGNP, told the local media. According to Forest Department officials, C33 Delta, is the sibling of the leopard C32 that was trapped from the same Aarey Milk Colony after attacking nine people last year. Later, C33 was caught as it was suspected to be attacking people and the officials caught and put a radio collar before releasing it in the park.

More than 90 leopards live within 103 sq kms in and around the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) in the north parts of the city, alongside the 1.28 crores of Mumbaikars and leopards are regularly sighted in this area.
