Renowned national and international artists to enthral at ongoing Rishikesh Music Festival

<strong>The second edition of Rishikesh Music Festival organised by the Union Ministry of Culture has started from today. Part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, this edition is being organized jointly with Sangeet Natak Academy, Uttarakhand Tourism and Kutani Handpan Academy.</strong></p>
<p>
Among those who are featuring in this edition of the festival, are renowned artists like Kailash Kher, Rudra Veena maestro Bahauddin Dagar, Baba Kutani, Indian Jam Project, Surya Gayathri and others of national and international repute. Besides, the established artists there are emerging ones from the world and subcontinent.</p>

Rishikesh Music Festival is an annual music festival held in the Himalayan foothill area of Rishikesh, India, next to Ganga. Its aim is to promote Rishikesh as a global centre for music learning and music production, promotion of musical tourism in Rishikesh, showcase and document intangible cultural heritage of humanity.</p>
<p>
The two-day event will be held in the morning and evening. While the morning session shall take place at Parmarth Niketan from 5.30 a.m. to 12 noon, the evening session will be held at Purnanand Ground from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.</p>
<p>
The festival is open to all and entry is free.</p>
