Heartbreak Video: The no-ball that snatched India’s spot in the World Cup semi-final

<p>
In a cliff-hanger of a match the India Women’s team missed the semi-final by a whisker with a heart-breaking no-ball that potentially made the difference between the win and the loss.</p>

Team India showed great fighting spirit to defend their total of 275 against South Africa and were in the game till the last two balls.</p>
<p>
South Africa needed seven runs to win in the final over and were pinned down by the Indian bowling attack.  Eventually, it came down to South Africa requiring three runs off two balls to make it.</p>
<p>
On the penultimate ball of the over, Du Preez was dismissed by Deepti as the batsman was caught by Harmanpreet Kaur at long-on.</p>
<p>
However, the cries of joy at the dismissal soon turned into heartbreak for India as the umpire ruled a no-ball. The replay showed that Deepti Sharma had overstepped the line by a wafer-thin margin that made all the difference.</p>

Du Preez was back at the crease needing 2 runs to win off the final 2 balls and she made no mistakes in hitting the required runs to take South Africa through to the semi-finals  </p>
