‘We had to tell the BBC that it is biased against Hindus’

India Narrative interviews Dr Vivek Kaul, doctor with the National Health Service (NHS) and an organiser of the protest by the Indian diaspora outside the BBC headquarters in London.

He says that India has been portrayed in a negative light by the BBC over the last many decades. Dr Kaul says that after the communal riots in Leicester, the Hindus too were shown in a wrong way. That is when the British Hindus understood the inherent bias of the BBC. “We want to start a dialogue with the BBC to enhance its understanding about the Hindus”, says Dr Kaul.

He says that the Indians who settled in Leicester from Kenya and Uganda are well integrated and are managing the economy of the city. Dr Kaul feels that this could be one of the reasons for the violence against the Hindus.
