Watch: Tamil Nadu forest dept staff get ailing wild elephant lying helplessly, back on its feet again

Screengrab from the video.

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Supriya Sahu has shared a video of how Tamil Nadu forest dept. staff and vets revived a young wild elephant who had fallen sick and lay helplessly on the ground at the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve.

Sahu said the elephant was in a bad condition because of parasitic worms and the Tamil Nadu forest staff and vets treated the animal

The video shows the elephant repeatedly struggling to stand up but falling to the ground again and again. However, the forest staff  keep on encouraging and assisting the animal in its efforts until it finally succeeds.
