PM Modi says mantra of reform, perform & transform has made India the fastest growing economy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India has progressed on the mantra of reform, perform, and transform in the last eight years to emerge as the fastest growing economy among the big G20 nations.

Addressing the Ground Breaking Ceremony @ 3.0 of the UP Investors Summit in Lucknow today, PM Modi said, "Today the world is seeing India's potential and appreciating India's performance. We are growing the fastest among the G20 economies, the second-largest nation of internet users and hold the second position in the Global Retail Index,".

The Prime Minister said that there is reason for every Indian to be proud of the country’s growth story

"We recently completed 8 years of central governance. In these years, we progressed on the mantra of reform, perform, transform; focussed on policy stability, coordination and ease of doing business," he explained.

PM Modi said that Indians should be proud of the country’s growth story.

The Prime Minister congratulated the youth of Uttar Pradesh for the agreements completed today for fresh investments to flow into the state which would create more jobs for them.

"Today agreements of investment of more than Rs 80,000 crore have been completed here. This record investment will create thousands of employment opportunities. I congratulate the youth of UP for it as they will be most benefited from it," he stated.

PM Modi said that in the next 10 years Uttar Pradesh would be the big driving force for India.

"I believe that Uttar Pradesh will give momentum to India's growth story in the 21st century,” he remarked.

PM Modi invited corporates to invest in the state as it provided huge opportunities in the food processing sector.

"Ganga is more than 1100 km long in UP and passes through 25-30 districts. Imagine the huge possibilities of natural farming. The state government also announced a food processing scheme a few years ago. For the corporate world, it's a golden opportunity to invest in agriculture currently," the Prime Minister said. .

He also pointed out that India is the third-largest energy consumer country and has a registered record Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

"One Nation One Tax, One Nation One Grid, One Nation Mobility Card, One Nation One Ration Card are the steps which set an example of our efforts for easy compliance and ease of doing business," the Prime Minister explained.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were also present at the event.
