Floods did not deter the Andhra Pradesh bride and her family from reaching the groom's house for completing the wedding rituals
Wanting to finish the wedding rituals on time with floods having disrupted the road traffic, a bride and her family in Andhra Pradesh took to boats to reach the groom’s place.
The bride and others are wearing colourful saris with flowers decorating their hair.
The incident happened in AP’s Konaseema district where everything has gone pell-mell due to heavy rain and the subsequent flooding. Unable to reach the groom’s house by road, the bride and her family used boats to reach the groom’s house and complete the rituals.
The couple – Ashok and Prashanti — had advanced their wedding to avoid the monsoon but that did not materialise as coastal AP is witnessing one of the worst floods in recent years.
