Actor Jacqueline Fernandes stopped from boarding Dubai flight, to be quizzed in money laundering case

Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez was on Sunday stopped at the Mumbai Airport by immigration officials and not allowed to board a Dubai flight as the Enforcement Directorate has issued a LOC (Look Out Circular) for her in connection with a money laundering case.

The actor, who shot into fame with the blockbuster film “Murder 2”, was informed that she has to appear before the investigation agency in Delhi. She was going to Dubai for a show. Her other hit films include “Housefull 2”, “Race 2”, “Housefull 3” and “Judwaa 2”.

The ED will issue fresh summons to her for appearing at the Delhi office today.

The Enforcement Directorate has filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court against conman Sukesh Chandrasekar and others in a Rs 200-crore extortion and money laundering case. It has been alleged in the charge sheet that he extorted Rs 200 crore from a businessman's wife.

The financial crime investigative agency has unearthed evidence showing gifts from Chandrasekar to Jacqueline worth Rs 10 crore . These include a horse worth Rs 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs  9 lakh, according to the  charge sheet.

The ED is investigating the alleged proceeds of crime going to the Bollywood actress from Chandrashekhar and she will be questioned on the issue..

Apart from Jacqueline, actress Nora Fatehi is also being investigated in the case for receiving such gifts.
